bog bat art is the art project & small business of lissie cox (they/them). established in 2024, the venture is a world of colorful, maximalist, and quirky art that’s all about activism, tongue-in-cheek humor, and hefty doses of encouragement and sarcasm. lovingly crafted in the heart of the western north carolina foothills, lissie’s shop is a haven for stickers, diy collage kits, postcards, keychains, and whatever else they com up with.

producing products and art pieces that celebrate both the joy & grief that comes with disability, queerness, and mental health (or lack thereof) – all with a cheeky wink and a playful vibe, lissie’s creations full of heart and genuine emotion.

as a chronically ill, disabled, queer, and gender-ambivalent artist, lissie pours their experiences and passions into every piece they create. all about breaking boundaries and smashing stigmas with a baseball bat, their sassy, offbeat style feels familiar - a chat with a friend who gets it.

when they’re not screaming at craft supplies and swearing they’ll never make anything again, you can find them journaling, obsessively making to-do lists that they will never finish, attempting to keep their kitten out of trouble, or out on a ‘walk n roll’ with their dad and trusty wheelchair Lola – a little ritual that keeps them sane.
